If you are a hardcore pasta lover, then this recipe is perfect for you. It brings together red sauce and white sauce pasta to create a delicious mix, which is called pink sauce pasta. Made with spicy red sauce and creamy white sauce, this recipe also has the goodness of cheese on top. We have used onion and bell pepper in this recipe, however, you can add more veggies of your choice like corn, broccoli and more. This recipe a lot of room for experimentation, as you can customize it as per your choice. If you want more red sauce, you can add extra tomato puree and if you want more white sauce, you can double the ingredients given to prepare it. It gives a beautiful pink coloured pasta, that can either be enjoyed as a snack or as a comfort food for dinner.

Step 1 – Prepare the pasta
Add pasta to a pot. Add water and salt as per requirement and keep it on medium flame. Let the pasta cook for 10-12 minutes or until done. Once done, drain the water and pour cold water on the pasta to instantly stop the cooking process.
Step 2 – Prepare the red sauce
Meanwhile, heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and bell peppers to it. Saute for two minutes. Now add tomato puree, salt and mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Now add tomato ketchup and red chilli powder. Mix well and set it aside.
Step 3 – Prepare the white sauce
Now heat butter in a separate pan. Let it melt and add refined flour to it. Mix well and roast the mixture until the colour changes to golden. Now add half a cup of milk and stir continously. Cook for a minute. Now add the leftover milk and mix with a whisker or fork in order to get rid of any lumps. Lastly, add salt, oregano and set the sauce aside.
Step 4 – Mix everything together
Now pour the white sauce into the red saucepan and combine the two sauces together. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and gently mix to coat it well in the sauce.
Step 5 – Garnish and serve
Lastly, garnish with grated cheese cube, add to bowls and serve the lip-smacking pasta.
