How to make Samak Rice Idli

Step 1 – To prepare this snack recipe, wash the sago and samak rice under running water. Now, add them in separate bowls and soak them in water for a few hours. Once done, drain the excess water and transfer it into a food processor. Run it on high speed until both sago and rice turn into a smooth paste. Transfer this batter in a bowl and allow it to ferment overnight or fro 8-10 hours.

Step 2 – Check the batter and add salt along with baking soda in it, mix well. Next, grease the idli stand with a little oil and add the idli batter in the moulds, then place the stand in the steamer. Steam the idlis for 7-10 minutes.
