How to make Spicy Carrot Dosa
Step 1
Wash rice and dal properly. Soak rice and dal separately in bowls for 3 hours. After 3 hours, grind rice and dal to a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl and keep over night for fermenting.
Step 2
Next day mix dosa batter nicely. Add salt and water as per requirement.
Step 3
Now, heat a non stick pan, drizzle a teaspoon of oil. Pour a spoonful of the batter and spread evenly in a circular shape.
Step 4
Now, for the carrot stuffing, take a cup of grated carrot, turmeric, cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste and red chilli powder. Sautee everything for 3-4 minutes in a pan and then grind it to form a paste. You can also add 1-2 tbsp tamarind pulp for added taste.
Step 5
Now pour 1 tbsp of this carrot mixture over the dosa and let it cook. When golden brown from one side, flip it.
Step 6
Cook from both sides and serve with coconut chutney and sambhar.

- 1 cup urad dal
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
