How to make French Toast with Apples
Step 1 – Make the delicious french toast batter
To prepare this classic breakfast recipe, take a big bowl and break eggs in it. Beat the eggs with milk and 1/2 tbsp sugar. Whisk these ingredients together till everything is well mixed.
Step 2 – Add the bread slices to the batter
Add the bread slices and let them soak. Ensure they are coated well with the mixture. Let them soak for 30 seconds on each side and then shift to another plate. Allow the soaked bread to sit for 1-2 minutes and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Caramalise the apples
Heat butter and boil in a pan over medium flame. Add the sliced apples and cook for 4 to 6 minutes and cook until soft and lightly golden. Add a litle brown sugar and cook till a buttery syrup is formed. Remove the apples and keep them aside.
Step 4 – Fry the soaked bread slices
Heat a pan over medium flame. Add a little butter and dash of oil. Place the bread slices and spoon over any leftover egg mixture. Fry for a minute or two until the bottom is golden brown and flip over. Cook the other side for a minute or two. Transfer to a serving plate.
Step 5 – For the plating
Sprinkle any remaining sugar over the bread and place the warm apples along with the syrup on top. Serve.
