Prepared in less than 15 minutes, this yummy paneer dish can be either served as a main dish or enjoyed as a snack. Paneer is quite rich in protein, which makes this dish weight-loss friendly. We have used just 1 spoon olive oil to make it, which makes the recipe quite healthy. The best thing about this dish is that veggies don’t need to be cooked for long. You just need to toss and cook the veggies to keep them crunchy.

You can add green beans, carrot, cabbage and even corn to make the dish more nutritious. This Paneer Chilly recipe is prepared without adding any sauces like soy sauce, ketchup or Shewan sauce but is still equally good in taste. Do try this recipe, rate it and let us know how it turned out to be.

How to make Paneer Chilli Dry

Step 1 Saute the ingredients

Heat olive oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, minced garlic and dry red chilli. Let them splutter for a minute. Now add cubed onions and saute them for two minutes.

Step 2 Add the veggies

Now add cubed tomatoes and capsicum. Toss them and saute for another two minutes.

Step 3 Add the spices

Now add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and garam masala. Give a good mix. Cook the masala for two minutes.

Step 4 Add paneer

Now add paneer cubes and toss well to coat them with the masala. Add 2-3 tbsp water to form steam and quickly toss the ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame and keep tossing in between.

Step 5 Ready to be served

Garnish the dish with chopped spring onions and serve.

  • 200 gm paneer
  • 1 onion
  • 5 garlic
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • salt as required
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 2 tablespoon chopped spring onions
  • 2 dry red chili
  • 1 capsicum (green pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
